The ability to e-mail articles, excerpts of e-books, and other materials is one of the best features of many of our databases.  However, sometimes the process can be tricky.  If you e-mail material from a database and don't receive it, here are a few things to check.

Try resending.  Typos in your e-mail address are often to blame.

Check your junk folder.  Sometimes e-mail sent from a database can be mistaken for junk mail.  It is also a good idea to give the e-mail from the database a subject line if this is an option.

If the database automatically fills in the "from:" field (like the EBSCO databases do) don't change the address.  Just fill in your e-mail address in the "to:" field.

If the database gives you blank "from:" and "to:" fields (like America's News), you can put your e-mail address in both places.

If you still aren't receiving your e-mail, try another option such as saving the article to the desktop, opening your e-mail account from a new browser tab, and sending yourself an e-mail with the article as an attachment.  Also, please report the problem to a librarian by calling 386-506-3518.
